Interpreter/ Interpreter Educator
Growing up...
I knew I wanted to be an interpreter. How did I know that? I met several Deaf people while I was working as a server at an ice cream stand and at a restaurant. I loved knowing there was a language that I could "speak" that was ONLY on my hands.

What I did NOT know at the time was that knowing a language does not qualify you to be a great interpreter. Being a great interpreter entails getting to know the people behind the language and become acclimated to their culture: Deaf culture.
